In 1971, The Metcalf Land Company, Inc., began as a small, family-owned enterprise based out of Spartanburg, SC. Our agents specialized exclusively in the sale of acreage, farms, timberlands, and recreational properties throughout the Upstate. For more than 35 years, we maintained our focus on the brokerage of undeveloped land.
Then in 2009, we expanded our business through an affiliation with United Country (formerly United Farm Agency), the definitive leader in marketing niche properties since 1925. Through this relationship, we discovered a widespread interest in one particular sub-segment of the niche real estate market. Buyers and sellers were requesting an increase in brokerage services concentrating on farms, estate homes, waterfront, and select properties considered interesting and unique in character. |
